Dilapidated Roads Condition Troubles Bengal's Tea Industry

Tea gardens in West Bengal tea belt are under deep trouble due to dilapidated roads in the region. Highly hampered operation due to non receipt of input materials and difficulties in getting output to auction centers or Ware houses, have put gardens into deep financial crisis and that too at pre festive season the highest producing time slot which demands smoothest operation.

"It is a multi dimensional crisis for us," said Mr. A Chakroborty. Convener of Consultative Committee of Plantation Associations( CCPA).
